xbox360 Elite or ps3

Am thinking about getting a xbox360 Elite or ps3 soon! whats best for games online game ?????

I would get a xbox 360 elite as online gameplay is alot better on the xbox than ps3

can't really tell you which is best although i know I prefer the xbox over the ps3 but thats just a personal preference not one judged by which is better. The PS3 console is better but the games are just xbox converts anyway so it's not using the extra power it has. Online play is better on the xbox but it isn't free like the PS3.

Edit just cant resist my two cents :

IF price isnt a factor then you need to look at which games you prefer both consoles have a few games exclusive to that particular console (Gears of war,Xbox )(KIllzone 2,PS3 ),decide which exclusives you want most.
Online play is equaly good on both consoles the main differences being PS3 online is FREE Xbox is not,Xbox has a better online interface for chatting to friends crossgame,PS3 has online chat but you both have to be playing the same game ,but this is coming in a future PS3 firmware update.PS3 has built in wireless so no need for any adapter which is around £50 on the Xbox.
Other things to consider, Xbox can be modded to play backup games as yet PS3 cant.PS3 has a blue ray player saving you around £100 .Most Xbox controllers use batteries PS3 controllers have em built in.PS3 has wireless blutooth headset afaik Xbox doesnt.


When i was looking at buying either consoles i tried em both looked at the games and choose the 1 i preffered which if yo havent already guesed was a PS3 and i gotta say im very happy with that decision the only thing that has pissed me of is that Street Fighter 2 HD has been delayed by sony over some quality control bullshit but Xboxers have had it for yonks i prob wont get it now as street fighter 4 is out on the 20th,oh and i almost forgot Killzone 2 demo was released today an Fook me it looks amazing GFX are 2nd to none cant wait for the full release later this month.Looks like the developers have now got to grips with the PS3 hardware and using it to its full potential.



ps. I also think the Xbox controller looks like it was designed by Fisher Price ... meh!!!! :P

Little infor for you norse. games for ps3 take twice as long to code up than what it does for pc or xbox (someone from a big developer has said that) also if a game is released at least a day late on the ps3 they say your not allowed to release it on the ps3.

Why you ask well because they want extra content for that little delay so means game delevepers end up having to put more time into making the game(something from the same big game developer)

Now you no real reason why games are sometimes late on release compared to xbox and/or pc.

I think its great that you get extra for that longer delay but when that delay is forced onto you because off crap advanced thinking by sony to make it easier for games to be constructed for your own console.

Although afaik coding on the Xbox is very similar to coding for PC developers already have the knowledge where as the PS3 is a whole new kettle of fish.
The problem with delays in games getting released is becuse sony uk is being run by monkeys yet again this week the managed to fook up the release of a game namley(pauses for breath ) Supersonic Acrobatic Battle Cars it was supposed to be out last week ready to download of the PS store but they managed to mess up the code they were given which meant you coulnt unlock the demo into the full they promised to hav eit sorted for this weeks update but again they havnt the people running the EU store need beating with a blunt instrument.

well it does seem the PS3 is the better console. As Nor$e has pointed out the PS3 comes with everything you need where with the XBOX you have to buy the addons. XBOX does have more games being made but all the top ones still make it to both consoles.

However i've gotten used to the 360 so that's my choice as i really didn't like any of the old PS's. And since I already own an XBOX then there is no choice for me as I may as well wait for the next generation of consoles that will be released.

But for facts sake. The PS3 is more powerful has Blueray drive, wireless controllers and access for the internet at no extra cost. So I think the PS3 wins.

Oh I also find the PS3 one ugly looking console

Imo at this moment in time i reckon there about neck and neck but in the next 12 to 18months the PS3 will come into its own and MS will eventualy be forced to release thier next system in order to keep up.Thats if sony give the PS3 the support it needs.
