Default Call of Duty 4

Anyone tried this, i've installed it, but not had time to play, its not WW2 this one, its set in a near future scenario, where you play an SAS dude then a Marine, but i'm hoping its up to the hype.

got too say this game has impressed me and i'm really thinking about buying it for the 360.

The GFX are hugely impressive.
The other game that i might purchase is the Half Life 2 orange box. 5 games in one is deffo worth it plus the standalone half life 2 is worth the purchase alone

Very true, thats a few games for not very much.
Mines the PC dvd, so probably a bit more crap looking.

Played TF2 a little online and gotta say it's pretty cool also few of the OldSkool lads a stirring up interest trying to get a team together for the Enemy Down League As for CoD 4 downloading as i speak, looks good but want to try before i buy but going off previous CoDs though I'll be adding it to my list.

Finally had a chance to play it and gotta say it's pretty a typical CoD game: Great graphics and gamplay played it a little last night and today haven't tried out the Online gameplay as it's a copy but i'm guessing from the consistancy from the previous CoD games that it will be atleast decent. Only problem is iv'e played it maybe 7 hours at the most and have a feeling i'm not far off the end (which is a problem with the franchise games are just too short)

There some nice little mission to keep you interested rather than the run around shooting bad guy missions there's one where you are Thermal Imaging TV operator on an AC-130 gunship and you provide cover fire for an extraction point and you have to take out some dude with a .50 cal sniper rifle which is cool.

I need a new grafix card before I can play any of the new games. Only got onboard gfx and none of em will run. Got COD4 and the new Need for Speed ready to go.

What do you all reckon to this card I won then? Is it good enough for COD4?

Found this on my travels:

OS
: XP or Vista
Processor: 2.6ghz Pentium IV or equivalent (3.2ghz recommended for Vista)
RAM: 1024mb (1536mb recommended for Vista)
Video Card: DirectX 9-compliant Shader 3.0 card with 128 MB of DDR Video Memory (256 MB recommended) AGP 8x or PCI-Express x16
Sound Card: 16-bit DirectX 9-compliant sound card

DirectX9 for XP and 10 for Vista, 8 gigs HD space + 600mb for swap file.

Supported chipsets:

Nvidia Geforce 6/7/8 series

ATi X800 or higher

I think the main thing is ram it runs pretty sweet on my comp on the default settings getting occasional loss i think an extra gig of ram would solve the issue though

My current Rig:

CPU: Athlon 64 x2 d/core 3800+
RAM: 1gb 2.00 ghz
GFX: ATI x1950 pro 512 GDDR3

Just thought I would let you know COD and NFS StreetPro run fine on mine with a 256meg ATI Radeon x600 gfx card but when I tried Medal of Honor Airborne it said graphics card not supported and wouldn't run.
