Fabio Capello will be appointed the next manager of England later on Thursdaythe Italian will be offered a contract to 2010 worth £4m a year, with the option to extend it after the World Cup.

I was rather luke warm when i first heard his name mentioned but as statedi'd have him any day over McClaren. Which makes you think how did that guy get this job last time. i'd still prefer O'Niell or Redknapp. Over a foriegn manager but his record speaks for itself. I like the fact that he is ruthless and doesn't care much for big name players which is what england do need. But on the downside hs style of football isn't overly exciting, infact it's rather like how sven had us playing. But in saying that we'd have took sven back straight away once we heard his succesor was McClaren.

O'Neil would have been my preferred choice and i think is a solid second at the end of the day he's a winner and he brings home trophies
