Right now Mayweather's at his peak and is too big. Hatton weighed in 145lb for the fight 2lbs under the limit, it might not sound a lot but it showed he didn't cut to make the weight. Mayweather how ever weighed 147 lbs and probably cut atleast 5-10 lbs to make the weight. In a year or two Hatton could naturally move up but right now it's too forced he can win at 147 but going off his first 2 showings against Callazo and Mayweather the chances are he'll win a couple lose a couple.
140 is where he's dominant and where he should stay fighting De La Hoya would be a mistake Floyd ain't a big 147lber by any means and DLH is alot bigger than Mayweather. With domestic match ups against Witter and Rees and Paul Malignaggi calling out Hatton there's still big fights out there for him.

One thing i am shocked about is he way some people on community boards (not here obviously) and the media are almost writing him off now. One loss and now he should consider retiring, It wasn't like he got beat by some nobody.

agree with prei$t me does

and after watching the arthur fight last night in which Hatton was present and gave an interview too afterwards he said he wouldn't say no to a re-match but also said he hasn't mentioned going after a re-match. So from that i take it that the newspapers are just hunting for a story. Oh he pretty much wrote off the chance of him fighting witter too.

Witter is a Frank Warren fighter I believe so that could be one reason why it won't happne although i still believe it would be a decent fight. Witter ain't Mr Excitement but he earned his way to a belt and it would be a legit fight.

I could see him cashing in to be honest and fighting DLH over here at the Man City ground then hanging them up. it's a fight i can't see him winning in fact i can't see him lasting 12 rounds.

Another thing I've found interesting is that i've herd fighters calling out Hatton but not Mayweather.

I can remember a fighter saying much the same about Sugar Ray Leonard when he stepped in with Marvin Haggler and Leonard completely out moved and out boxed him , in fact one of the best fights ive ever seen , I still believe if Hatton can overcome Mayweathers holding and spoiling tactics he can win
