Bit of a shock for me for this to happen right now. Even if they do say it mutual, everyone still knows he got the push.
Allardyce has been under huge pressure all season, but he seemed to have ridden out the storm and was ready to be given time by owner Mike Ashley. Ashley only took charge at St James' Park in the summer, but he arrived just a matter of months after Allardyce was appointed by his predecessor Freddy Shepherd. I think the fact that the previous chairman made the appointment may be the major factor here. Usually when a new chairman comes in they do bring there own manager and i'm guessing thats what has happened here. Plus most fans will be happy as they brought on the change once again. Funny how the fans can get a man in a job then get him out again so soon. IMO i don't think newcastle deserve much success with the amount of times they change the manager. You have got to give a man more than 6 months in charge. If you look at the problems before he took over, he and to build a totally new side. |

Its been the same for awhile, no immediate success your out the door and in the last few years we've gone through more managers than strips. I hope whoever gets appointed is given time and genuine support from the new guy stairs.

Bad thing is newcastle fans want instant success and its never going to happen takes a year minimum to do that and then u need laods off money to buy the best players.
going to be hard to get a manager that will want to manage at newcastle as they get stick striaght away from the fans if goes fuked up |

Looks like Mike Ashley wants Redknapp at almost any cost. In the Daily Star it stated he's been offered:
*Double his Dosh *Private Plane *£30m War chest At least Ashley seems to have Newcastles best interests and he's just not changing things for the sake of changing. |

I have the support from the chairman (John Williams) and the board," explained Hughes. "That is something you do not give up lightly. "The fact is I have continuity here and a good situation. Things are in place and I am very conscious of that.
"All I am trying to do is my job to the best of my ability with the help of my staff. I am Blackburn manager and have a job to do here. "In football you need time and I have been given that. I am proud to be manager of this club." |

god knows who the next manager is gonna be.
But imo it serves them right that nobody really wants it cos it's a hopeless task trying to please the fans. The want a team as good as the best inside 2-3 month. Well i'm sorry to say but no chance. You've got to be far more patient than that. It's taken Mark Hughes 3 year to get Blackburn where they are now, so why do they think other managers can do better at Newcastle? |

Keegan in shock Newcastle return....Newcastle have confirmed that Kevin Keegan will make a dramatic return to manage the club. The 56-year-old former Manchester City boss managed the Magpies from 1992 to 1997 and will return to St James' Park as Sam Allardyce's successor.
