Not that shocked really. Who else really wanted it.
But it's perfect for the Newcastle fans as it's what they want really. Now we all wait too see if Shearer is to be his assistant

Kinda hesitant to be honest about it. When ever you mention Keegan (as a manager) you automatically think Newcastle but his last reign was 10 years ago and times have changed, could be good though to give the club a boost and if he can turn the clock be to his glory days as the magpies manger they'll certainly be more entertaining to watch.

I honestly think Keegan is the right man for the job , like a lot of others have said he's got what it takes he just needs the time and the money , so basicly it's all down to fans and the owner to keep faith and stick in there , good luck to him ,success in any kind of venture takes time and patience and you dont allways get it right first go , I hope he gets it .

On MOTD tonight Shearer said Keegan has been in touch and they are going to sort something out for him at the end of the week when Shearer gets back from a charity trip to Uganda.
